Mental Health Awareness Committee

"The Co-Chairs of MHAC aim to educate students on the topic of mental health, and inspire them to explore their own unique mental health. We hope to tackle a variety of topics this year through events and workshops that allow all students to feel represented. We want to continue to spread messages of destigmatization and self-care. We would also like to tackle heavier topics regarding mental illness, and introduce a variety of ways that we can healthily cope. Above all, we want everyone to feel represented through MHAC by tackling all sorts of topics that make us unique (sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, accessibility, etc). We want to celebrate the diversity on campus by opening up the discussion about mental health and its many points of intersection. Through creative speakers, workshops and events, we believe we can spread this message."
